The purpose of the women's ministry of Daybreak Community Church is to support the church mission to shine out Jesus' light and help people change to become his fully-devoted followers. Women
benefit from the encouragement, support and connections with other women to grow in their faith towards this mission. Connections are key, and opportunities exist for women's connections in
several formats: regular women's bible studies, occasional get-togethers for fellowship, and an annual retreat.
Check out the listing below for current opportunities for Daybreak women and their friends! You can also enjoy photographs from previous events.
We ladies know the benefits of getting out and about doing something fun and different with other women. We get to re-energize, laugh, console, encourage, mentor, and appreciate one another. We attend holiday events, exercise, play games, shop, and more (and leave plenty of time for catching up with each other on news and events in our lives) ... what's NOT to like about all that?? Come have some fun!

This year our Ladies Retreat was held in White Haven, PA, where 8 of us were able to spend some quiet time away to enjoy some relaxation, time with each other and time with God. We had a great time away focusing on "Loving Well" and what it looks like to love God well, love ourselves well, and love others well based on 1 Corinthians 13.

Our Fall 2014 Women's Bible Study, led by Steph Courchesne, adopted Mom's House in Phoenixville for an Outreach project this winter. Steph was pleased to deliver food, formula, baby food,
diapers, wipes, gift cards and encouraging notes on February 25th.
"The staff at Mom's House was very grateful for this gift and considers it a blessing. Thank you, ladies, for giving to them and being Christ to these single moms!" - Steph Courchesne

This year, we had 14 ladies go on Women's Retreat. We got away to Refreshing Mountain Retreat in Lancaster County. There is nothing like taking a break from the normal schedules to connect with God and with other ladies and this year did not disappoint.

Once a month, R & R Retreats meet for a time of Bible teaching, discussion and journaling. The ministry is LiveWell!Ministries - Where Women Come to Life. It is a great time of refreshment and connection with God and other women. The 2013-14 retreat season is themed "The Inseparables", studying the links of Jesus' life to suffering, sacrifice, sanctification, selflessness and serving and how our own lives are linked.

Eleven ladies had the opportunity to get away to Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, Maryland for a Women's Weekend Retreat, organized by Steph Courchesne. Sandy Cove is along the Chesapeake Bay and it provided a great backdrop for our time away. We spent time worshiping, learning and connecting with God and each other. It seemed like the collective take-away from the weekend was a deeper desire to know God's truth so we are able to refute Satan's lies he tries to make us believe. We also cheered on some of our ladies as they tackled their fears on the zip line!! The ladies all had an enjoyable time while soaking in some R&R.

Bunco is a fast-paced fun way to have a Friday "Girl's Night Out". Suzanne Williams hosted the party for 12 ladies at her home in Collegeville. Scrumptious snacks were enjoyed during breaks in the game.
