All Outreach Events

Daybreak Church was able to shine the light of Jesus by serving a few hungry men and women in our community. We partnered with Ministries on Main Street again by helping serve an evening meal to some homeless in Pottstown for 5 nights in February. There were about 25 different people from Daybreak that prepared and served these meals. This experience was once again not only a blessing to those at the shelter but more so to those who helped serve. There was a rich time of sharing and reflection the following Sunday during the worship service at Daybreak. We post this here not to brag or boast about our care for the needy. Jesus was clear, that should never be one’s motive (Matthew 6:1-4). But part of Daybreak’s mission is to serve others and shine out Jesus’s light – so this is an opportunity to say, we are on mission! Thanks again to all who helped serve!  

This Christmas season, we partnered with Perkiomen Valley School District to help support families in need this holiday season through the fourth annual PV Cares Holiday Drive. We collected items to support the Daily Bread Food Pantry and the PV Power Packs program, both of which are serving PV families during the holiday season.

Thanks to everyone who brought in gifts, cards, and cash to help bless kids in the PV School District through the Power Pack program. Way to shine out Jesus’ light at Christmas! 

On July 27, 2019, Daybreak-ers participated with a group of 200 volunteers at the Berean Bible Church in Pottstown for two hours to pack meals for children in need.  The event is one of many such meal-packing events held across the country.  The sponsoring organization is "Feed My Starving Children", fmsc.org

Collection April 22 - May 13, 2018, Sundays at Daybreak

Victory Park has never looked better! On Saturday morning, a team from Daybreak joined forces with a few volunteers from Royersford Borough and got to work! The volunteers spread mulch, planted a few flowers, did some edging, and general clean-up. Daybreak provided some refreshments which were enjoyed by all the volunteers! Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to shine out Jesus’ light in this hands-on way!

This Christmas, Daybreak adopted a local family with 8 kids and helped to make their Christmas a little extra special. Our congregation responded with overflowing generosity as folks purchased pillows, blankets, clothing, and various other wishlist items for the children. Our KidZone sang Christmas carols the week before Christmas and presented gift bags filled with pillows and blankets. The mom emailed later and reflected her family’s appreciation: "We just wanted to say a huge thank you for coming and blessing our family on Sunday. The kids slept great with their new pillows and blankets. Many of the kids were sleeping on old character pillows that were flat. After you guys left, the kids ran and put their stuff on their cots. Two of them asked to take a nap to try them out. We have been staying with my aunt here since April after a very unexpected move, and the kids have really struggled with having things of their own. Now the blankets are theirs, and the pillows. Thank you again so much.”

It was a very special time as the carols were sung, as all the kids introduced themselves and a blessing was prayed over the family before we left. The other gifts were secretly delivered to the mom later in the week. This family will enjoy opening these wonderful gifts on Christmas morning.  

This is what Jesus had in mind when He taught us to, “…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

One small church in Royersford packs and sends 40 shoeboxes full of goodies to needy kids around the world this Christmas! That might seem kind of insignificant but catch this: this means that 40 children will also hear the Good News of Jesus shared with them by the good folks of Samaritan's Purse as part of Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child, transforming the lives of children and their families around the world!

Our Fall 2014 Women's Bible Study, led by Steph Courchesne, adopted Mom's House in Phoenixville for an Outreach project this winter.  Steph was pleased to deliver food, formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, gift cards and encouraging notes on February 25th.

Daybreak kids delivered their homemade cookies & ornaments and sang Christmas carols to our friends at Golden Age Manor in Royersford. The residents really appreciated the Christmas cheer! Thanks to all the kids and adults who participated! That’s what shining out Christ’s light is all about!

This year, Daybreak partnered with Operation Christmas Child (through Samaritan's Purse) to provide gifts for children in various parts of the world. The kindhearted people of Daybreak answered the challenge and responded in amazing ways! Over 50 shoe boxes were packed to the brim with all kinds of goodies, necessities, and gifts for kids.

296 water balloons ... and then there were none! Over 20 kids from Daybreak and the community enjoyed soaking wet fun with sponges, sprinklers, and water balloons as Daybreak held its first ever Kidz Splash event! Many hotdogs, chips, cookies, and freeze pops were consumed before a brief Bible story was shared. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this such a fun time for the kids!

On Friday, May 24th, Daybreak's KidZone, Kindergarten - 5th grade (with a couple preschoolers), went to Freedom House in Royersford to serve the residents there with an evening of BINGO. The children called numbers, played along with the residents, and served snacks. It was a great time of service & the residents truly enjoyed the kids!

During December, KidZone kids held a Pajama Collection for the families of the Pottstown Salvation Army Family Shelter

Daybreak kids shared some cookies and craft time with some of the kids at the Pottstown Salvation Army Family Shelter.

Held 10am-3pm, Royersford Main Street between 3rd & 5th Avenue, this community event attracts thousands of visitors to enjoy music, games, classic cars, food and booths featuring local businesses and community services.  Daybreak sponsored the games for the kids.

Daybreak hosted a blood drive event at the Daybreak Den.

A free barbeque dinner for our Royersford neighbors, and worship service in Victory Park.

Our Worship Team visited Freedom House in Royersford for an evening of music and spiritual refreshment.  Freedom House is a residence for disabled adults.

An all-church, all-family event was held to pitch in and help the Family Shelter at the Salvation Army in Pottstown. This shelter does so much to aid families in tough circumstances to get back on their feet.  We did some maintenance, played some games and shared a meal of yummy barbeque!

Fasting serves as a humble reminder of how we are truly blessed.  Daybreak Church fasted as a congregation on April 1, 2012, and turned the fast into a gift to our local community.

Winter may be chilly, but it was all warmth and smiles as a group of us visited Freedom House in Royersford on January 28, and shared some worship time with music. 

Christmas is an opportunity to share our blessings with a neighbor in our community.

Hunger and need are right here in our community.  Our KidZone kids decided to do something to help and held a food drive.  Way to go KIDS!

Daybreakers LOVE having fun and LOVE having fun with our neighbors!  Daybreak provided free food and fun at Victory Park in Royersford for our Fall Festival.

Nearing the anniversary of the 9/11/11 tragedy, we remember our community, state and national service personnel who risk their lives and safety every day to keep us free and safe.  We honored these folks with a wonderful breakfast at Applebees.  THANK YOU!!!

Daybreak hosted a free movie night for the community.  We projected the movie at the VFW in Royersford and served up fresh popcorn and lots of good fun.  Familes and friends had a wonderful time in spite of the heat!

Daybreak held a flea market at the Limerick Fire Company on Ridge Pike in Limerick and raised over $1000 for three local charities!
